Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain Head Start sites across Oregon. The role covers janitorial tasks, basic repairs, waste management and safety compliance to support classrooms and staff.

You will help with exterior maintenance, landscaping and utility systems, while adhering to safety standards and participating in emergency drills as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant cleaning/maintenance experience.
• Experience in industrial cleaning and basic repair is preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior by cleaning furniture, fixtures, floors, and surfaces in classrooms and common areas.
• Perform light maintenance and repairs to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Remove trash, recycle materials, and manage waste containers.
• Keep entryways and exteriors clean; address ice, snow, and painting touch-ups as needed.
• Maintain lawn, landscaping, lighting, and exterior equipment; assist with HVAC and roof gutter maintenance.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and arrange orders as needed.
• Attend trainings and follow OSHA/MSDS safety requirements; participate in drills and emergencies.
• Communicate with staff and participate in team meetings; support Head Start goals.
