Wake County Public School System is seeking a dedicated custodian to ensure school facilities are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained. The role includes operating cleaning equipment, reporting safety concerns, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of WCPSS trainings after employment. Candidates should be reliable, able to follow instructions, and willing to attend required trainings and work flexible hours as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• WCPSS trainings which will be provided post-employment.
• Experience in custodial work is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the school/facility is sanitized, cleaned, and maintained.
• Move and arrange furniture as needed.
• Perform minor/preventative maintenance on custodial equipment; report repairs.
• Open/secure buildings at start/end of workdays; operate lights as scheduled.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and weather calls as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
