Job summary

The American Heart Association invites applications for Development Director, Youth Engagement, to drive fundraising and student engagement across North Texas. This home-based role requires frequent travel to schools and districts, with flexible hours to accommodate events and school schedules.

You will lead Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge programs, manage volunteers, and maintain CRM data while collaborating with teachers and administrators.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related field.
• Ability to do daily local travel; access to reliable transportation.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work from home and in the field per flexible work arrangements policy.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate proactively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Data management with CRM databases; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and engage students through schools and districts in life-saving initiatives including Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge.
• Implement strategies to engage students through classroom challenges, activities and assemblies (in-person and digital).
• Develop and cultivate relationships with teachers, principals and district superintendents.
• Establish and maintain outstanding customer service with volunteers and collaborators, including planning and kick-off meetings for schools.'
• Manage and maintain accurate volunteer and supporter information within CRM and Microsoft platforms; keep data current.
• High-volume account management with 5–10 schools daily, in-person or online/by phone.
