Job summary

Caswell County Schools North Elementary School in Providence, North Carolina is seeking a part-time Custodian (5 hrs per day) to maintain clean and safe school facilities.

The role involves floor care, window cleaning, restroom upkeep, basic repairs, and light grounds work under the supervision of the Principal/Assistant Principal, with duty rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some experience in custodial work is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be physically able to operate cleaning equipment like vacuums, carpet shampooers, brooms and mops.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care including stripping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and spray buffing.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs and cleans fixtures and windows.
• Empties trash and maintains cleanliness of building.
• Performs minor repairs and grounds cleaning as required.
