Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring a School Custodian to perform general cleaning in K-12 and higher education campuses. The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and reliable work habits.

You will maintain classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, using cleaning equipment and following established procedures. This full-time on-site position includes a comprehensive benefits package and a welcoming, veteran-friendly employer environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No experience required and on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Prior customer service experience is a plus.
• One year of prior similar work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, mop floors and clean spills in designated areas.
• Regularly check trash receptacles and empty as needed.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
