Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 or higher education campus. The role involves cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices and common areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices and stairways.
• Sweep, mop floors, and remove debris in designated areas.
• Regularly check and empty trash receptacles.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager about repairs or additions to building systems.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and staff.
• Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
• Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, fixtures, floors, walls and windows.
