Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at K-12 and higher education campuses. The role requires adherence to safety and cleaning procedures and occasional coordination with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and stairways.
• Sweep, mop and remove debris; manage spills in designated areas.
• Empty trash, recycle appropriately and ensure cleanliness of restrooms and common areas.
• Follow safety and chemical handling procedures to protect floors and fixtures.
• Communicate with lead cleaner or manager about repairs or maintenance needs.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed to clean and access areas.
