Job summary

Jefferson Parish Schools at Woodland West School in Harvey, Louisiana is seeking a full-time Custodian - 8 Hour to help maintain safety, cleanliness, and the overall appearance of the school facilities.

The role includes keeping halls, entrances, walls, and windows clean, checking dressing rooms, and cleaning classrooms per the specified schedule while remaining responsive to the plant manager and maintenance coordinator to support smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and to comprehend instructions on operation of equipment of all types and on the use of chemicals used in cleaning operation.
• Minimum qualifications include physical ability to perform cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of halls and entrances.
• Cleans walls and windows.
• Check dressing rooms.
• Cleans classroom units as specified in accordance with working schedule and minimum cleaning schedule specific school needs.
• Be responsive to coordinator, plant manager and/or assistant custodian where appropriate.
• Perform all other duties as required by the plant manager or Coordinator of Maintenance & Custodial Services.
