Jefferson Parish Schools in Harvey, LA, is seeking a Substitute Custodial Pool member to assist in maintaining safety, cleanliness and appearance of the school facilities. Duties include cleaning halls, walls, windows, dressing rooms, and classrooms according to schedules while coordinating with the plant manager and custodial staff.

Responsibilities require physical activity, the ability to read and comprehend service orders, and readiness to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and to comprehend instructions on operation of equipment of all types and on the use of chemicals used in cleaning operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant manager in maintaining safety, security, cleanliness and appearance of the physical plant.
• Maintain cleanliness of halls and entrances.
• Cleans walls and windows.
• Check dressing rooms.
• Clean classroom units as per schedule and school needs.
• Be responsive to coordinator, plant manager or assistant custodian.
• Perform all other duties as required by the plant manager or Coordinator of Maintenance & Custodial Services.
