Job summary

Craven County Schools seeks a Custodian I at Tucker Creek Middle in Havelock, NC. The position reports to the Principal or Custodial Supervisor and operates under a 12-month term with pay grade 50.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Some skill in the use of small equipment used in routine cleaning.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral or written directions.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs, dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, waxes and polishes floors in rooms, hallways and closets.
• Washes windows, woodwork, walls and other surfaces; cleans rest room fixtures.
• Replenishes tissue, towels, and soap in rest rooms and kitchens; empties trash.
• Picks up paper and other trash in school buildings; operates heating/AC equipment.
