Sun Prairie Area School District is seeking a custodian to clean and maintain school classrooms, halls, and other areas as assigned. Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking supplies, and preparing spaces for meetings and activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and custodial experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Duties also cover minor repairs and snow removal as seasons demand, with opportunities to support building safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with 5–11 months custodial experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to operate a variety of custodial equipment including vacuum cleaner, floor buffer, carpet extractor, mower, etc.
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Cleans classrooms, halls, locker rooms, bathrooms and other areas as assigned.
• Replenishes supplies in paper and soap dispensers.
• Dusts furniture; cleans and polishes fixtures.
• Cleans windows.
• Removes trash and other refuse.
• Assists in preparing areas for meetings and other activities.
• Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance to buildings and equipment.
• Performs seasonal snow removal.
• Secures building.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds.
