Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Part-Time Day Custodian to keep school facilities clean, safe and well maintained. You will be responsible for interior cleaning of hallways, restrooms, offices and classrooms, as well as exterior areas like the perimeter and parking lot.

Travel to nearby schools may be required; you will follow OSHA safety procedures and assist with maintenance tasks. The role supports the Head Custodian and ensures compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or facilities cleaning preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures per OSHA.
• Willingness to travel to nearby schools if required.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas: interior hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms and cafeteria areas.
• Exterior cleaning of the school perimeter, parking lot, playground and windows.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste in designated receptacles.
• Dust FF&E, sills, vents and sterilize high use areas.
• Clean and sterilize restroom facilities and assist with cafeteria duties.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies; stay on site during shift.
• Carry handheld radio; assist with maintenance planning and preventive tasks.
• Travel may be required to nearby schools or warehouses.
