SOUTH SPENCER COUNTY SCH CORP SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a full-time custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds under supervision of the Principal, Director of Facilities, and Business Manager. The role includes cleaning rooms and floors, restrooms, setting up for events, and basic repairs while adhering to safety rules and district standards.

High School Diploma and some cleaning experience are preferred, with reliable transportation and good teamwork skills

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; prior cleaning/maintenance experience desirable.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Valid motor vehicle license or reliable transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Checks and secures building at start and end of shift to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Cleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices and other areas per district standards.
Sweeps, mops, buffs, strips, and waxes floors; cleans carpets and furniture.
Washes walls, windows and other surfaces; removes graffiti and cleans glass areas.
Replaces light bulbs; moves and sets up furniture for events.
Snow removal and spreading ice melt; grounds-keeping duties.
Receives deliveries and helps unload and distribute supplies.
