Job summary

SP+ is seeking a dedicated janitor to maintain cleanliness and customer service within our facility. The role involves routine cleaning, trash removal, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. The position may require shift variability including weekends.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to communicate clearly in English. OSHA compliance and safety awareness are essential for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or combination of experience and education.
• License: valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and driving record.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including potential 3rd shift and/or weekends.
• Oral communication: speaks clearly; listens and asks questions for clarification.
• Written communication: writes clearly and reads/interprets information.
• Language: ability to read, write and interpret English; respond to inquiries.
• Physical demands: capable of lifting 50 pounds+, long periods of standing and moving, and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks per checklists to keep areas free of dirt, dust, litter and debris.
• Make multiple rounds daily to pick up and discard trash.
• Empty trash receptacles inside and out, including offices.
• Report malfunctions of equipment and burns-out light bulbs.
• Submit repair or maintenance requests.
• Follow OSHA rules and regulations.
• Clean restrooms and maintain janitorial supplies inventory.
• Operate cleaning equipment as applicable.
• Assist customers within the facility and resolve complaints with supervision if needed.
