Job summary

Lexington Public Schools in Lexington, MA is seeking a Custodian for Class 18 with a 12-month term under the SEIU Local 888 contract. The role involves cleaning, snow removal, and maintenance of facilities from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Competitive hourly pay and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with valid driver's license.
• Employment contingent upon CORI/SORI, SAFIS fingerprinting and pre-placement medical exam with drug screening.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares facility for daily operations including alarms, lights/HVAC, and snow removal tasks.
• Performs custodial duties including cleaning floors, restrooms, and windows; stocks supplies.
• Mops classrooms, vacuums daily, and maintains safe, clean environment.
• Reports building deficiencies and assists with event set ups and breakdowns.
