Job summary

Lexington County School District One is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across assigned schools under the supervision of the head custodian and principal. The role involves performing a wide range of housekeeping tasks, using cleaning agents and equipment, and ensuring safety and confidentiality in the school environment.

The position follows the 8 Hours/230 Days schedule with the Support Staff Salary Schedule (Grade 6).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Prior experience cleaning and maintaining buildings preferred.
• Must have current government issued identification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness of assigned schools and facilities.
• Performs housekeeping duties such as cleaning rooms and restrooms, replenishing supplies, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Operates housekeeping equipment and follows safety procedures; participates in training.
• Prepares classrooms for closing and assists with building closings as directed.
