Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at a K-12 or higher education campus. The role involves cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas, using proper cleaning agents and equipment. You will work closely with supervisors to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety across facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
• Regularly check trash receptacles and empty as needed.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager about minor or major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Move furniture and equipment to access areas for cleaning.
• Clean interior glass, mirrors, and other surfaces with appropriate cleaners.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms; comply with safety and quality standards.
