Job summary

Sand Springs Public Schools is seeking a Custodial Worker for the Maintenance department. The 10-month contract may include extra duties during two summer months. Beginning salary is $12.23 per hour with benefits after a 45-day probationary period.

Typical shifts are 6 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or later in the day, performing routine cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, and common areas with equipment operation and event setup duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Dependability and professionalism in duties and schedules.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Custodial/cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial duties in assigned school during shift.
• Move and arrange furniture for events and clean up afterwards.
• Assist with ground maintenance and snow removal as required.
• Clean fixtures, windows, walls, floors, and related items; refinish floors as directed.
• Operate custodial equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.
