Job summary

Southwest Allen County Schools is seeking a dependable Custodian for a 12-month position with full benefits. The role runs 3–11pm and includes a $0.15 shift differential; overtime may be required during summer, weather events, or activities.

The custodian will perform general cleaning and grounds maintenance, operate cleaning equipment, and assist students, staff and visitors as needed, ensuring facilities remain safe and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience with custodial duties is desirable.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and use cleaning equipment.
• Effective communication with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds.
• Maintain equipment in functional condition and operate floor machines.
• Provide cleaning and custodial support to students, teachers, and staff.
• Perform related duties and general maintenance as required.
