Job summary

Chicago Tech Academy is seeking a Culture Coordinator to support student accountability, behavior interventions, attendance initiatives, and restorative practices, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and academically focused school environment where students can thrive.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience with high school students in educational or youth development settings.
• Knowledge of restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first responder for student behavioral incidents using restorative practices.
• Enforce school-wide expectations related to uniforms, attendance, and conduct.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, students, and families to address student needs.
• Respond to and de-escalate student conflicts and behavioral situations.
• Document incidents and interventions in student information and behavior tracking systems.
• Monitor student data related to behavior, attendance and grades.
• Participate in Behavioral Health Team (BHT) meetings.
• Assist with attendance outreach and home visits.
• Attend school events and supervise activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism; participate in professional development.
