Cherry Creek School District is seeking a crossing guard to oversee pedestrian and vehicular traffic around school zones in Colorado. You will direct pedestrians, monitor traffic gaps, and communicate crossing rules to students and adults, using stop signs and signals to ensure safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to meet DOT minimums, and a vigilant, responsible demeanor.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Wear clothing such as light colored slacks, light colored shirts, and a safety vest.
• Must meet Colorado Department of Transportation minimum qualifications.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsabilidades

• Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary, staying within the crosswalk.
• Monitor traffic flow to locate safe crossing gaps.
• Communicate crossing rules to students and adults.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers at designated points.
• Direct traffic movement or warn of hazards using signs, flags, lanterns, and hand signals.
• Report incidents involving students to the building principal.
• Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and report infractions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
