Cherry Creek School District seeks a part-time crossing guard to guide and protect students during school arrival and dismissal. You will direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic, using signals and signage to ensure safe crossings near campuses.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Wear light-colored clothing and a safety vest.
• Must meet Colorado Department of Transportation minimum qualifications.
• Intermediate knowledge of bicycle/pedestrian practices.
• DOT restrictions: no eating, smoking, or unapproved device use while on duty.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsabilidades

• Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary.
• Monitor traffic flow to locate safe gaps for crossing.
• Communicate traffic rules and crossing information to students and staff.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers at designated points.
• Direct traffic movement using signs, flags, and hand signals.
• Report incidents involving students to the principal.
• Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding signals and report infractions.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
