Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a licensed mental health therapist to support K-12 students in-school settings.

You will deliver social-emotional services as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers and families to implement proven counseling strategies. In this role, you will work with diverse learners, conduct assessments, develop and monitor IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Professional licensure as a mental health clinician (LPC/LCPC, LCSW/LMSW, LMFT/LMHC).
• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field.
• 2 years of experience with children/adolescents in school, special education, or behavior health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, or family counseling to students.
• Collaborate on IEPs, social-emotional goals, and IEP meeting participation.
• Assess social-emotional and behavioral needs and develop plans (BIPs, transition plans).
• Implement behavior support and de-escalation strategies to maintain safety.
• Support SEL skill development through curricula and targeted interventions.
• Provide in-service training with teams, including external partners.
• Maintain student files per regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with families and school teams to support student success.
