Job summary

Learn It Academic Services in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a School Counselor to support students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being as part of a collaborative school team.

You will conduct individual and group counseling, develop comprehensive school counseling programs, and work with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student success. A Master’s in school counseling and state credential are preferred; background checks required. This role is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in school counseling from an accredited program.
• School experience preferred.
• Additional teaching certification or state education credential may be required.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling addressing academic, career, and personal/social development.
• Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Advocate for students during IEP meetings and other student-focused discussions.
• Maintain accurate records, connect families with outside resources, and stay current with counseling best practices.
