Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is seeking a part-time School Counselor to support K-8 students at multiple NY sites (Holy Spirit - Troy area; St. Thomas the Apostle and Mater Christi School - Albany area; St. Kateri - Schenectady area).

You will advocate for students, provide counseling, assess needs, connect families with resources, and help create a safe, inclusive school environment. This role offers flexible, year-round and/or summer work options.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field.
• New York State Counseling Certificate.
• Experience working with K-8 students is desired.

Responsibilities

• Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
• Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling.
• Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
• Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' needs.
• Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
• Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
• Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.
