Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
  • Experience in an educational setting preferred (minimum 3 years).
  • Experience in-person in private schools is preferred.
  • Experience with diverse student populations and families.

Responsibilities

  • Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Provide individualized, small-group, and classroom counseling across academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
  • Conduct learning assessments to reveal strengths and growth areas and inform referrals.
  • Connect parents and staff with community resources matching students’ needs.
  • Complete accurate administrative paperwork efficiently.
  • Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support.
  • Follow Counseling Policy Manual and funding guidelines.
  • Screen, evaluate, counsel, and support students aged five to fourteen across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

How you’ll do it:



  • Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.

  • Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling, focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.

  • Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.

  • Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.

  • Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.

  • Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.

  • Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.

  • Ability to screen, evaluate, counsel, remediate and support students, five to fourteenyears of age in the academic, career, social and personal domains

  • Dual background in education and counseling

  • Experience working in an educational setting, at least 3 years preferred

  • Experience working in-person within private schools

  • Experience working with a diverse population of students and families

  • Experience working with individuals and families with psycho, social and emotionalneeds
