Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is seeking a part-time School Counselor to support students across multiple sites in the Albany area. You’ll advocate for students, provide personal, emotional, and academic guidance, and collaborate with families and staff to foster a safe, inclusive environment.

Open to those with a Master’s in counseling and current NYS Counseling Certificate, with K-8 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field.
• NYS (current) Counseling Certificate.
• Experience working with K-8 students desired.

Responsabilités

• Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
• Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling.
• Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
• Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.
• Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
• Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
• Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.
