Job summary

FullBloom is seeking a part-time School Counselor to join Catapult Learning partner schools in the Albany area. You will advocate for students, support their behaviors, emotions, and academics, and collaborate with families and school staff to connect resources.

This role offers flexible scheduling across multiple sites, with opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment. Compensation is hourly, reflecting experience and site requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field.
• NYS Counseling Certificate.
• Experience working with K-8 students desirable.

• St. Thomas the Apostle – Albany area
• Mater Christi School – Albany area
• St. Kateri – Schenectady area

Responsibilities

How you’ll do it

• Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.

• Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
• Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.
• Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
• Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
• Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.
