Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate CNA to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs. This PRN position involves nursing-related tasks within a classroom setting and collaboration with school staff to help students participate safely throughout the day.

Responsibilities include assisting with feedings (G-tube preferred), toileting, transfers, and daily activities while following each student’s care plan.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience with disabilities or complex medical needs preferred.
• Experience with G-tube feeding strongly preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility and transfer assistance.
• Must complete background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with feedings, primarily through G-tubes.
• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and adaptive equipment.
• Support students with daily classroom activities.
• Follow each student’s care plan and safety procedures.
• Communicate with teachers, nurses and school staff; maintain dignity and privacy.
