Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Walpole, MA is seeking a Full Time Cook to support our Walpole residential and school campus, providing breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, you will participate in menu planning, cook meals, and maintain kitchen operations.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, ServSafe certification, and 2+ years in a large kitchen; prior residential/institutional kitchen experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
• ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
• Skilled Cook with ability to follow USDA recipes and prepare meals from a cycle menu.
• Prior experience in residential/institutional kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning seasonal cycle menus with the Dietitian under the Food Services Manager.
• Cook and prepare meals as required.
• Stock and rotate stock.
• Receive and store all food per food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Maintain DESE-required logs and records for school programs.
