Job summary

The Home in Walpole/ Clifford Academy in Walpole, MA is seeking a Part-Time Cook to prepare breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner for residents and students on campus. You will plan cycle menus with the Dietitian and operate under the Food Services Manager to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, ServSafe certification, and 2+ years in a large kitchen; experience in a residential/institutional kitchen is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years working in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
• ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
• Skilled cook with ability to follow USDA recipes and prepare meals from a cycle menu.
• Prior experience working in a residential/institutional kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning seasonal cycle menus with the Dietitian and under the direction of the Food Services Manager.
• Cook and prepare meals as required for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner.
• Stock and rotate inventory; receive and store all food per safety standards.
• Maintain clean, organized kitchen and proper record keeping per DESE requirements for school programs.
