Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc. in Walpole, MA is seeking a Full Time Cook to support our residential and school campus meals, including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.

This role reports to the Food Services Manager and ensures nutritious meals prepared from cycle menus. Responsibilities include planning seasonal menus with the Dietitian, stocking and rotation, proper food storage, and maintaining DESE records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years working in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
• ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
• Skilled cook able to follow USDA recipes from a cycle menu.
• Prior experience in residential/institutional kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan seasonal cycle menus with The Home's Dietitian under the Food Services Manager.
• Cook and prepare meals as required.
• Stock and rotate ingredients.
• Receive and store all food per safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Keep DESE records for school programs (food safety logs, daily production records, inventory/purchasing).
