Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Walpole, MA is seeking a Full Time Cook to prepare breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinners on campus. You will stock, rotate inventory, and maintain a clean kitchen while following seasonal cycle menus planned with the Dietitian.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and ServSafe with Food Allergy Training; 2+ years in a large kitchen is preferred, plus experience in residential/institutional settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
• ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
• Skilled cook who can follow USDA recipes and cycle menus.
• Residential/institutional kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, participate in planning seasonal cycle menus with The Home's Dietitian.
• Cook and prepare meals as required.
• Stock and rotate inventory.
• Receive and store all food in compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
• Maintain DESE-required records for school programs (Food Safety logs and daily production records, inventory, purchasing).
