Job summary

Regis Corporation is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals in a school cafeteria in New Jersey. The role requires teamwork, accuracy in paperwork, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities include meal prep, menu support, serving on the line, POS/daily deposits, and daily reporting. Candidate should be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a kitchen environment.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to interact successfully with customers and Nutri-Serve employees
• Knowledge of food preparation, a plus

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of meals and the setup of the cafeteria
• Checks with Kitchen Manager for daily preparation work assignments
• Assists in the preparation of daily menus
• Assists in the set up of napkins, serving utensils, student lunch trays and condiments
• Sets up daily snacks on the cafeteria line
• Assists in checking food shipments into the school, verifying orders
• Assists in determining the amount of food to be prepared daily
• Serves students nutritious, attractive meals in a friendly manner
• Maintains cleanliness of the cafeteria and serving lines
• Inputs and posts daily sales and deposits and backs up data
• Communicates with parents about student accounts as needed
• Counts and verifies daily deposits and completes records
• Assists in inventorying and ordering with Kitchen Manager
• Performs additional duties as assigned
