Job summary

Plymouth Middle School within Robbinsdale Area Schools is seeking a Nutrition Services worker for the school year. The role runs 8:00 am – 2:00 pm (5.5 paid hours with a 39 minute unpaid break) at Plymouth Middle School, Category II pay with benefits per the Nutrition Services contract.

The worker assists in food prep and service for students, serves as cashier, maintains records, and adheres to sanitation standards. ServSafe certification is required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to the planned menu; operate equipment and ovens as needed.
• Maintain daily records of food production; maintain inventory of food and supplies.
• Complete daily set-up of school food; provide materials and supplies as needed for the menu items.
• Service as cashier for student and staff lunches; assist students with technology support for cashier functions; communicate with students regarding balance of funds available.
• Serve food to students according to menu and guidelines; remind students of meal options; assist students with special needs.
• Clean all kitchen equipment according to sanitation standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
