Job summary

EdAdvance in Connecticut is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Manager to oversee all aspects of the school cafeteria, ensuring compliance with the National School Lunch Program and safety standards. You will supervise meal preparation, support cooking, and deliver strong customer service in a busy school setting.

Reporting to the Food Service Director in the Division of Operations, this part-time role follows an academic calendar with flexible hours and occasional extra shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Qualified food operators' certificate or eligibility to become certified.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Knowledge of food, nutrition and quantity cooking methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of meals for the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs.
• Ability to cook as required.
• Maintain sanitation and health codes governing food prep and personal appearance.
• Stock deliveries and general kitchen duties as assigned.
• Regular and consistent attendance is essential.
