Job summary

Compass Group USA is looking for a FOOD UNIT LEAD at Marcellus Community Schools in Marcellus, MI. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, with a pay range of $15.00 to $17.00 per hour. Prior kitchen management, ordering, and inventory control experience are required.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating food preparation and service, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards. Internal referral bonus available.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in managing a kitchen.
• Ordering skills required.
• Inventory management knowledge needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages per standards.
• Trains and assigns work to staff to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Manages schedules and work procedures, expediting when needed.
• Maintains daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, payroll, time keeping).
• Ensures proper cash handling as outlined in policy.
