Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring a full-time FOOD UNIT LEAD for Marcellus Community Schools, MI. The role coordinates activities of other food-service staff to create a pleasant dining experience for students and staff.

The position requires prior kitchen management, ordering, and inventory experience with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, with benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in managing a kitchen.
• Experience with ordering and inventory management is required.
• Ability to coordinate schedules and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by attention to detail.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items per standards.
• Helps plan menus.
• Ensures timely meal service and supervises serving.
• Trains employees and coordinates work to promote efficiency.
• Maintains required daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, payroll, timekeeping).
• Handles cash as established by policy.
• Directs sanitation and safety of facility and employees.
• Develops sanitation schedules and ensures adherence.
