Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and works closely with other food service employees to ensure menu items are prepared in a timely manner to meet meal service times.
• Reviews daily production records and secures necessary ingredients/food items and equipment for preparation purposes.
• Cleans and prepares fresh fruits and vegetables; prepares simple meal items; assembles salads, sandwiches, and baked goods; assists with meal items for dietary needs.
• Portions and packs menu items for satellite feeding.
• Sets up serving counters for meal service and serves students and staff.
• Washes pots, pans, plates, and other kitchen equipment; maintains cleanliness of work areas and dining spaces.
• Properly labels, stores, and disposes leftover foods.
• Receives provisions, documents temperatures, reports discrepancies, and assists in inventory and records.
• Oversees the work of student helpers in the school kitchen.
