Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Specialist to assist with daily cafeteria operations, food preparation, and customer service for students. You will help stock supplies, operate POS, and maintain clean food service areas on site.

You will follow recipes, monitor students during meals, and support the Cafeteria Manager. Benefits include competitive hourly pay, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and mental health resources.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school cafeteria or food service environment is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
• Wollows safety and food handling guidelines as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and ensure food quality and safety.
• Provide customer service to students, staff and families daily.
• Operate food service equipment and maintain clean spaces and equipment.
• Notify Cafeteria Manager of equipment malfunctions and follow recipes.
• Help with loading/unloading of food and non-food products weekly.
