Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a CNP Food Service Specialist to assist with food preparation, service, and cafeteria operations for students. You will provide customer service, stock supplies, operate POS, and maintain clean, safe dining spaces under the Cafeteria Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in school or large-group food service is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and kitchen processes.
• Must meet local food safety requirements and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and ensure food safety and quality for students.
• Provide customer service and interact with staff, students and families daily.
• Operate food service equipment and maintain clean service spaces; notify manager of malfunctions.
• Assist in cafeteria cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, wiping tables, washing dishes, disposing of trash.
• Load and unload food and non-food products weekly.
