Job summary

Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) seeks a Food Service Manager I to supervise and perform food preparation and service for students and staff at district schools. The role emphasizes compliance with HACCP, cost control, and accurate record-keeping regarding meals and inventories.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a ServSafe Manager certificate and LAUSD Food Handler’s Health certification. Prior supervision experience in a food service setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of adult school or college courses may be required.
• At least 1 year of experience in commercial or institutional quantity food preparation (≥50 meals/day).
• Valid ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate and LAUSD Food Handler’s Health Certificate required.

Responsibilities
