Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is hiring Nutrition Services/Cook Helper at Minnetonka Middle School West. Two positions, 4–6 hours daily, weekdays only, starting for the 2026-2027 year. Training occurs the week before school, with assignment subject to staffing needs.

Wages start at $21.72 per hour; six‑hour shifts include medical and dental eligibility. Details in Schedule A will follow. Responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, heating and serving, cleaning, and basic cashier duties.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification desirable.
• Computer experience helpful.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must enjoy working with students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as assessed in a preplacement evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Heat, cook, and pre-dish food under supervision and set up serving areas.
• Portion, garnish, and serve food items according to instructions.
• Clean up kitchen and serving areas following procedures.
• Maintain standards of safety and sanitation in handling and serving food.
• Accurately perform record‑keeping as requested by Cook Manager.
• Assist in preparing food items.
• Performs point-of-sale and cashiering duties as part of kitchen rotation.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
