Job summary

Florence 1 Schools Transportation is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and on field trips in Florence, South Carolina. The role requires safe driving, adherence to laws and district policies, and the ability to manage students and routes with accuracy.

Candidate must hold a valid CDL-B license with endorsements, a good driving record, and be able to pass required trainings for transporting handicapped passengers.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and a good driving record.
• Requires valid state class B CDL with endorsements; training for transporting handicapped students may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drives school buses to transport students to and from school and field trips, following laws and district policies.
• Performs safety inspections of the bus before operation.
• Secures wheelchairs and enforces bus safety rules to protect students.
• Maintains student manifests and assists with route planning and maps.
• Completes daily mileage and attendance records and reports delays to appropriate offices.
