Job summary

The State of South Carolina invites applications for a school transportation role. The successful candidate safely operates school transportation vehicles (bus/car/van) to transport students to and from home, on field trips, and to healthcare or other facilities, ensuring on-time, safe arrivals.

You must comply with all traffic laws and report mechanical issues promptly. This position requires CDL, School Bus Certificate, and DOT Physical, plus a clean driving record and the ability to manage

• Current and valid CDL, School Bus Certificate and DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives bus/car/van to transport students to and from home, on field trips and to health care or other facilities as needed.
• Delivers students to their destination in a safe and timely manner following established routes.
• Obeys all traffic signals and highway regulations that govern the operation of school buses.
• Assists in behavior management of students and ensures supervision at all times.
