Job summary

Georgetown County School District is seeking a Bus Driver to support safe and reliable student transportation to and from school and on extracurricular trips. You will ensure route efficiency, read and interpret route maps, and maintain daily rosters while adhering to all safety policies.

The position requires a valid SC CDL Class B with P&S endorsements, a SC School Bus Certificate, a valid SC driver’s license, and the ability to pass DOT physicals and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must attach a copy of your driver’s license to the application.
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; attach copy to the application.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a valid South Carolina driver’s license with 3 years of driving experience.
• Must obtain a CDL Class B with P&S endorsements.
• Must obtain a SC School Bus Certificate.
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, PPT, vision exam and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Transportation Director and/or Routing Coordinator.
• Reviews assignments and locations with the routing coordinator.
• Assists in planning bus routes and schedules on request.
• Supervises bus monitors and reports issues.
• Provides written reports of road hazards or unsafe stops.
• Assigns students to seats and maintains rosters and seating charts on the bus.
• Follows safety procedures and district policies.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by administration.
