Qualifications

• Safely operate a school bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
• Monitor student behavior during transport and enforce safety rules.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation schedules and any concerns.
• Complete required paperwork, including daily logs and incident reports.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid if necessary.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of students, particularly those with special needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport.
• Clean driving record and a minimum number of violations within the past three years.
• Previous experience driving a bus or working with children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
