Job summary

North-America-Central-School-Bus is seeking a dedicated bus driver to transport students on regular routes, charters, or spares, operating buses with manual or automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assisting students with loading/unloading, maintaining discipline, communicating with school staff and parents, and keeping the bus clean while following OSHA and district safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read street signs and maps.
• Must pass pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

• Drives regular, spare or charter routes and ensures safe operation.
• Reads route sheets and maps to follow assigned paths.
• Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Assists students with loading/unloading, including wheelchair lift.
• Maintains communication with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attends safety and training meetings.
• Cleans interior and exterior windows; keeps bus clean.
• Upholds company and safety policies; manages student behavior as required.
