Job summary

Brown Bus Company is seeking a responsible driver to safely transport students on regular routes, including charters and spares. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assist students with loading and unloading, operate wheelchair lifts, and communicate with school staff, parents and students.

A focus on safety and adherence to procedures is essential. You will also participate in safety meetings, evacuations when required, and keep the bus clean inside and out while following OSHA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Operator’s license with required endorsements as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drives a regular route, including regular, spare or charter assignments.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Assists students with loading/unloading and wheelchair lift operation.
• Maintains safety and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Conducts emergency evacuations when needed and complies with safety protocols.
• Cleans the interior and exterior of the bus and adheres to company procedures.
