Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL/Class B license with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• Must have proof of good driving record.
• Must have or obtain a current DOT medical card.
• Attend orientation/training and meet credentialing requirements (background check, drug testing).
• Annual and recurring training is required to maintain this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure bus safety before each trip.
• Operate bus on assigned routes and transport authorized students safely.
• Maintain schedules and arrive on time while prioritizing safety.
• Communicate with dispatch via two-way radio and with parents and staff.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce bus rules.
• Ensure proper use of safety equipment and assist students on/off.
